The Board of Directors would like to bring to your attention the following resulting from numerous violations of the gate usage and damages incurred:
- The gates are for motorized vehicles only.
- All pedestrians and bikes must use the pedestrian gates due to our liability insurance. If you do not have a pedestrian gate key, please contact us. Any pedestrian using a card to open the gate, the system will automatically deactivate the card (the arms stay up) and the cost of reactivation is $100.00
- The gate arm permits entry for only one vehicle at a time. Homeowners are requested to help by stopping momentarily after they enter so the arms can go down behind them.
- No tailgating – the individuals permitting tailgating, damage the circuit boards of the system which is the same as a computer. If you hold a PC keyboard key down for extended periods, it causes a jam and an error which needs to be corrected by the user. The same happens with the gate system when a vehicle “holds” the gate open for others to enter. Those individuals’ cards/stickers will be deactivated and charged $100.00 for reactivation and also the amount of damages sustained if the gate is found to be damaged.
The cameras capture all activity at the gate entrance and we get a daily report of the events. Please obey the gate instructions and assist us as we try to control and maintain gate entry into our community with the maximum security possible. Landlords are responsible to inform their tenants.
